What's there
Three things between the site and the village
The terraces
Agricultural terraces climbing the hillside in curves, among the most photographed in the valley. The path runs over stone tracks with steps; you can go slowly. The Traditional starts the day here: see its hour-by-hour itinerary.
The religious sector
At the top, the Intihuatana and enclosures of fine stonework; the guide explains the astronomical and ceremonial role attributed to them.
The village and the market
Ten minutes down and 25 or 30 minutes among stalls of textiles, ceramics and silverwork. It's the market with the most time of the day; you pay in soles. Its place among the Inca royal estates is told in our Sacred Valley history.
